I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours BA(Hons) in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Higher National Professional Diploma (HND) in Therapeutic Counselling.
I have studied a number of different psychotherapeutic approaches including; Integrative, Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Psychoanalytic, Gestalt, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Existential and Phenomenological approaches.
My Theoretical Approach
My preferred approach is Person-Centred Counselling & Psychotherapy. However I consider myself to be an Integrative practitioner, drawing upon the major psycho therapeutic theories, as appropriate to the needs of each individual client.

I started my formal and professional training in 2005 specialising in Addictions, Dependency need, Obsessions, Psychological dependence and Chemical dependency/addiction. I have worked with Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) and local Drug Alcohol Action Teams (DAAT).
I have worked for both Corporate and Private National Organisations, Hospitals and Rehabilitation Services.
I have worked closely with the Court of Protection for over 4 years as an Expert Witness and provide both Psychological Assessment and Psychological Rehabilitation/Progress report's for Legal Professionals who Apply Law for highly vulnerable clientele.
I have a further 3 years experience working with clients Detained under the Mental Health Act, working Adult Mental Health Wards (Acute Admission) and Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (ICU) providing Acute and Intensive Care for people during periods of mental health crisis.
I have worked with Acquired Brain Injury and within specialist (ABI) NHS units and I continue to work with Brain Injury Rehabilitation in Private Practice.
I have also worked as an Honorary Primary Care High Intensity Psychological Therapist for West Sussex NHS Trust (IAPT). I Currently work with EAP (Employee Assistance Programmes) that are specialist occupational health care providers
I continue to consult with specialists in the field and continue to be professionally informed and kept up to date with current research developments within the fields of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
